About Hotline Service
Valley Intergroup Service Center began in 1969 to provide a 24-hour telephone hotline that provides a service to individuals with questions about alcoholism. It offers a place someone can talk to an alcoholic to get help to stop drinking, and get connected to support.
The hotline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
This is strictly a volunteer service provided by recovering alcoholics, and a great opportunity to be of service.
Calls to volunteers are indicated on their personal device when the call is incoming, so the volunteer knows it’s a hotline call.
Calls are routed directly to your cell or home phone (not to an office) during a time frame that works for you.
If you’re unable to pick up the phone at any given time, the call will be routed to the next available volunteer
