Purpose of Intergroup
Our purpose is to provide service, activities, functions and programs which strengthen AA’s unity and spirit of purpose while perpetuating the program of Alcoholics in our community.

Hospitals & Institutions
Carrying the A.A. message to the alcoholic “behind the walls,” of various facilities in the East Bay of Alameda County, called Area 53.
24/ 7 VSC AA Hotline
Valley Intergroup Service Center provides a 24-hour telephone hotline where individuals can talk to someone to get help to stop drinking and get connected to support. The hotline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Special Events
This committee plans, coordinates, and executes annual events for the Valley Service Center including the Anniversary Dinner and the Summer Picnic. These fundraising events support the Valley Service Center that support local Tri-Valley AA groups.
Bridging the Gap
Bridging the Gap is a program thru Alcoholics Anonymous to help people leaving a correctional or treatment facility become acquainted with A.A. and attend A.A. meetings in their home town, after they are released.
WACYPAA
WACYPAA is a group of sober alcoholics having but one primary purpose, to be of service and carry the message of AA throughout the Bay Area. We hope to balance the more serious aspects of life in recovery with fellowship enhancing activities.
PI-CPC
Public Information and Cooperation with the Professional Community (PI/CPC) is responsible for carrying the message to the local public at large and creating greater understanding of the AA program.
Workshops
A great way to learn new skills and explore new opportunities to be of service and help improve skills in sharing Alcoholics Anonymous with those still suffering.
Outreach
The TriValley Intergroup Outreach Committee helps create awareness about AA in the Tri-Valley area. The committee assists Valley Service Center (VSC) office by confirming meetings and welcoming new members to monthly Board meetings.
Accessibilty
Accessibilities Committees explore, develop, and offer resources to alcoholics with significant barriers to receiving the Alcoholics Anonymous message and to participating in our program of recovery.

CNCA is one of six A.A. General Service Areas in California, and geographically encompasses 21,427 square miles of coastal counties from the Oregon border in the north, down to San Luis Obispo County. CNCA serves more than 60,000 AA members in 23 Districts.
