Daily Reflection
A collection of readings that moves through the calendar year one day at a time: A.A. members reflect on favorite quotations from the literature of Alcoholics Anonymous. The volume focuses on all Three Legacies of Recovery, Unity and Service.
Why You Should Make Time For Daily Reflection
The most useful reflection involves the conscious consideration and analysis of beliefs and actions for the purpose of self learning. Reflection gives the brain an opportunity to pause amidst the chaos, untangle and sort through observations and experiences, consider possible interpretations, and create meaning.
Each month focuses on the same number step or tradition in the daily reading.
Reflect on things that are going or that are going on in your life.
Learn from things that others have done to improve their sobriety.
“The central fact of our lives today is the absolute certainty that our Creator has entered into our hearts and lives in a way which is indeed miraculous. He has commenced to accomplish those things for us which we could never do by ourselves.”

– “This truly is a fact in my life today, and a real miracle. I always believed in God, but could never put that belief meaningfully into my life. Today, because of Alcoholics Anonymous, I now trust and rely on God, as I understand Him; I am sober today because of that! Learning to trust and rely on God was something I could never have done alone. I now believe in miracles because I am one!”
